Agreed, being able to effect the game without playing your best in salah-esq.

My only gripe with Saka is that he seems to have developed a selfish streak around the box that did not use to be there. He is no longer making the best decision, rather trying to get is shot away.

When Odegaard played him in on the fast break was a perfect example. A square ball was available to Tzolis for a tap in but he took a tame effort at a poor angel on his weaker foot.

Havertz played well. The reality is we don't have any other option.

The fact Gyokeres didn't get on the pitch again, despite the game opening up at the end tells you all you need to know.

Arteta has completely lost faith with him, i expect us to bring in a CF in January and move on from Gyokeres in the summer - i also expect Merino to begin getting more CF mins in other competitions.

Thought the first half performance was excellent - despite not getting to goal we controlled the game, quitened the crowd and created some big chances.

2nd half was rough after we scored the goal but we've got to get used to that this season. Our lack of transitional threat doesn't allow us to kill these games off quicker.

Very few teams will get 3 points at this ground - massive win.

Has to go to Havertz. Players who never learn how to use their weaker foots become so limited.

A simple cushion with the instep of his right foot gives Kai an open goal. Instead he's trying to swing his leg at an awkward angel to use his left as the balls moving away from the contact.

We didn’t play a 4-2-3-1.

Xhaka played high in the pocket or rotated to the LW position when Nelli came infield.

Zinchenko inverted into a holding midfield role in possession.

This is the same formation we’ve been playing last year but we used Rice to play in the LHS channel which didn’t work. Now Calafiori occupies that position and Rice is playing back in the 2-2 box.

It’s the same formation, the personnel have just been adjusted.

Our issue is Calafiori - he might be out most important player in possession for what we’re trying to do and when he inevitably misses games through injuries we don’t have a replacement.

Hincapie comes in and plays a more traditional FB role, Rice then needs to move up one where he’s ineffective. Perhaps Bruno G will occupy this role going forwards and Rice will stay at the 6.

This is more a reflection of the state of the country than him. If Britain ever does manage to turn itself around, expect all these guys to flock back.

History has shown that ultra wealthy have no problem contributing to functuining societies - if you get to a point where the most successful people you’ve produced are leaving your shores, you’ve fucked up as a country.

Thats the sad truth of where Britain is right now and his Britain is perceived across the western world.

It highlights the state of the country. These guys are not leaving to save a few million that means nothing to them.

They’re leaving because they do not want to contribute vast amounts of money to corrupt governments that fail its people. These guys are the first to jump the sinking ship.

There’s plenty of places in the world where people don’t mind paying inflated taxes when the money is being used to make the economy, environment and society better.

When your paying 330m and your kids can’t walk down the streets, I’m not surprised they leave. Many more would if they had the freedom of opportunity that wealth creates.

If Britain ever turns itself around, I would expect many would return and contribute again.

They likely have but have been rebuffed by the player/club immediately.

If you’re trying to poach a reserve player who categorically tells you he’s not interested you’ll move on straight away and the media will never know.

Top clubs enquire about Timbers availability nearly every season but Arsenal shut it down - not for sale, years left on the contract, player wants to stay. No clubs going to waste their efforts and time.

Fundamentally, the native people of any land should decide whether to accept migrants. This country has voted against migration largely for the best part of two decades.

This is a result of being ignored and far more people sympathise with the protestors now then they would 10 years ago.

The next inevitable stage is violence and with that will lead to the rise of a true far right politician with radical ideas. The people will vote that person in and we will have our own Hitler.

The writings on the wall unless serious change comes in. The further down the road we go the more radical the solution becomes.

@franchisexcl Fatigue for Tzolis - will improve at the end of games as his body conditions to the demands.

Gyokeres is just an average footballer that’s somehow managed to scam his way to this level. Expect nothing of him and you won’t be disappointed.

Arsenal play the most fluid system in the league in possession and the most organised out of possession. This is what elite level coaching looks like.

Might be reading too much into it but its telling me that Gyokeres is on the market and the club dont want to risk an injury.

Perhaps the Gyok + cash rumour for Alvarez had legs.

Cherkis a similar profile, but he at least effects the scoreline every week.

So much space in behind, especially when the ball goes wide. Villa playing a very high line, which is eating Arsenals lack of pace in the frontline.

Bruno looks like the obvious choice here for MLS. There allowing time on the ball for our DLP, Bruno will speed up the tempo and has a superior passing range to both MLS and Rice.

Havertz also ineffective as the game is so squeezed - wouldn’t mind Gyokeres here to try and stretch this back line.

Man City will still be the biggest challengers just for the fact that they can still control football matches.

Chelsea have played two teams that have tried to play open football and have heavily punished both on the break. Im not convinced they will be able to pick up enough points against settled blocks, there defence looks shaky in transition and in settled game states
