Excellent commentary on the LU005 results just out in @JCO_ASCO.
💡 Key insights on the optimal timing of ICIs with RT across multiple tumor types, specifically regarding general avoidance of simultaneous initiation of ICI with standard RT.
📊 Includes a high-yield table with results from multiple randomized Ph 2/3 trials and highlights the importance of correlative studies for future combinations.

🤔Should we time SRS for patients on immunotherapy?
Thought provoking results from our study out in Neuro Oncol Adv:
📊Largest concurrent SRS+ICB cohort
⚡️Delivery of SRS closer to ICB dosing assoc with:
⬆️icPFS, LC, OS
❌No incr RN
Keen for thoughts🧐https://t.co/ulf5nHkMn4
We need everyone everywhere working in, or treated by, or in another way touched radiotherapy/radiation therapy to join in making the 1st #WRAD a resounding success.

@PRJeffWhite@JulieMcCrossin@fumikochino@gerryhanna
@MuzamilArshad18 SRS dose schedules in paper (open access). Path responses not quantified per tumour but no CR - sufficient tumour cells and architecture such that histopath diagnoses able to be made for all.
🧠💥 Pre-op SRS for brain mets is gaining traction.
But must we resect 1–3 days after? 🤔
We ran a small feasibility trial. Biological rationale: keeping the irradiated tumor in situ longer may allow immune responses within the tumor to develop🕒

Long awaited, we finally have our Boswellia experience out @IJROBP. We show an ORR of 60% and CR OF 12% using Boswellia for radiation necrosis after SRS for brain metastasis. This is a huge win for patients and has changed our practice!!! Check it out!
https://t.co/zRPGLtLyL4
Is it just me or is the interpretation strange for this study, best ORR was 51% and they say it’s the SOC and SRS should be investigated? SRS has excellent and durable control for brain metastasis and was already the SOC. https://t.co/IsitxrREIs
I think everyone should read this review of radiotherapy vs systemic trials and endpoints selected. Why is the world focused on omitting RT and not reducing systemic Tx? @Mat_Guc@Icro_Meattini
Kudos to our researchers awarded close to $350,000 in @tourdecure_aus grants to advance cancer research!
Congrats to project leads @CTLengineer, Dr Diane Moujalled, Rhiannon Morris and @_joesia & PhD scholars Brian Reese, Michelle Jahja, Chow Yee Lai, @qin_raymond & @JoelMoffet.
Impressive work @cristian_udo for conceptualising and leading this 🌏 international collaborative project to successful completion.
An important contribution to the evolving landscape of brain metastases management.

Is preoperative SRS an option for brain metastases undergoing resection?
Proud to share the INTERNEO results- an international collaboration of neoadjuvant SRS @RO_GreenJournal

How does SRS affect the brain met immune TME?
In most studies, SRS-treated BrMs were resected 2º progression. To avoid this bias, we examined a pair of pre- & post-SRS BrMs in the pre-op SRS setting, from the same location in the same patient🧐🔎🧠

Welcome to some new brilliant minds joining the BCC team! Dr @_joesia Radiation Oncologist @PeterMacCC & Dr Negar Asadian, Neuroscientist have joined the @braincancerlab team at @WEHI_research
Joe brings his expertise from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre’s Department of Radiation Oncology and is now collaborating with our WEHI team on the Neuro-oncology Translational Radiobiology (NOTR) program.
This program, generously funded by PeterMac with support from Prof @svporceddu aims to improve our understanding of brain tumour and radiation therapy interactions.
Joe will focus on brain metastases, developing new therapeutic options for patients.
Negar will pivot from neuroscience to focus her skills on the brain cancer space.
We are incredibly grateful for PeterMac’s crucial support, which has enabled this exciting collaboration, and can’t wait to see what this incredible team can achieve together, working towards a brighter future for brain cancer patients and their families.
Many Minds. One Focus.
🎓 Exciting Opportunity! Join our Neuro-Oncology Translational Radiobiology Group 🧠 in the @braincancerlab
We're seeking a passionate post-doc to advance research on brain metastases and tumours, utilising patient samples and developing pre-clinical models for radiation therapy
