It seems to me that Christian Nationalism—when combined w/reformed patriarchy—shares quite a few structural & ideological similarities w/Islam:

• A desire to shape national laws around their version of Christianity—enshrining biblical (or their interpretation of biblical) morality into law—so that everyone, believer or not, would be forced to live under it

• Male-only leadership across religious, political, & social spheres—asserted as a biblical mandate

• Wives commanded to submit to their husbands

• Strict modesty rules for women

• Punitive attitude toward dissent—framing disagreement as rebellion against God

• Endorsement of “biblical justice” systems—often meaning harsh penalties for moral “sins,” coupled w/aggressive moral policing

Even if a theocracy built on CN & reformed patriarchy is pursued thru elections rather than violence, the resulting system—based on the elements above—would, in many key ways, resemble an Islamic theocracy.
