I could go on rants for days about how disney is a corporation at heart, and doesn't value the talent of the artists it houses. Disney execs will always want to tell the stories that will rake in the most cash, and it's why we see sequels and remakes instead of original content.

Ghibli movies are the best! I love how they often romanticize a mundane life anyone is capable of living :)

Feminist activism through social media is a great medium to relay messages and rally people together. Most people have some form of online presence, so women speaking out on platforms like this might give them opportunities they might not otherwise have.

I suspect some social media projects are more successful than others simply because they cater to what is "in" at the moment. Social media is a system rigged to become outdated quickly, as people migrate from platform to platform #lesson6

I'm more of a fan of twitter being used as an educational tool rather than facebook, as i think the latter has become more convoluted with useless features. twitter is great for keeping up with current events as they happen and is a more streamlined app. #lesson2

I can see (especially during remote learning) that creating global collaboration for learning can allow for more students to have their opinions voiced and heard. Social networks are so ingrained in our society now that it seems beneficial to embrace it openly #lesson2

@BinhLuongDien While I agree to an extent, using social media in classroom settings can also alienate certain users who aren't used to sites like these! (I can see it's a fairly common sentiment in these threads too)

@celine_educ307 Absolutely! Especially in the context of adult education, whereas tools used in high school level settings might be easier to adapt

Teachers should take into consideration the purpose they are trying to achieve when incorporating social media into the classroom. Some might not work as well as others when implementing certain lesson plans/styles
