I am alarmed by the views expressed by a Scottish Greens MSP that is circulating on social media where they say that rape is a “spectrum”.
I am absolutely clear that there is no spectrum of rape and know that there is certainly (1/4)
This chap was dropped from Love Island immediately after entering the villa because he was referenced in court documents in relation to a stabbing that occurred in 2019. He was not charged with any crime, but was referenced in the documents because he was present at the incident.
George Knight was also dropped earlier on in the season, reportedly partly due to “unacceptable language” and formal warning from ITV. It has never been revealed what this “unacceptable language” was, but he has been accused by viewers of using “microaggressions” towards non-white islanders. For example, referring to a girl’s fashion as “exotic”.
Meanwhile, one of the main stars of this season, who is still in the villa, posted this on her story on October 7th 2023.
Two tier ITV.

Last month, the Free Speech Union hosted an event at the House of Commons to mark the third anniversary of the Ian Mactaggart Programme.
The Ian Mactaggart Programme provides grants and support to young people — particularly university students — working to promote freedom of speech and expression on campus. It is also administered by the Free Speech Union.
The event brought together representatives from societies and projects supported by the programme across a range of universities, including Durham, York, Exeter, Warwick, King’s College London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Glasgow and Bath.
The Free Speech Union’s General Secretary and founder, Lord Young of Acton, addressed attendees.Lord Young reflected on the importance of open debate and intellectual curiosity on campus, and how these are now better protected thanks to the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act 2023, which the FSU helped to draft and campaign for.
If you’re promoting free expression on your campus, we want to help.

Are you bloody kidding me? @kayeadams has lost her BBC Radio Scotland job for THAT?! She said a naughty word, slammed down her pen and didn't smooth a young trainee's overblown ego. Wow. What a monster! 🙄
Isn't it amazing how many men have worked at the BBC for YEARS who do so much worse - groom and exploit their junior colleagues, are off their heads on drugs and booze, even commit criminal offences - and yet their bosses happily protect them. Disgusting double standards.
Identity politics is so profoundly dominant @UofGlasgow over rational discourse that student union President candidates can campaign without mentioning a single university related policy - but say “Fuck the Tories” - while at the same time @GUTories is one of the most active and attended political unions on campus.
Is it appropriate to allow the fielding of candidates who actively denounce fellow students @QMUnion ?
