something I've observed a number of times: getting promoted can be demoralizing, especially at senior levels, for people who are highly goal oriented. it's counterintuitive. here's what I think is going on:
Google Cloud: we do face detection but not in individual identification
Azure: we can do individual verification but only if you provide the reference image
AWS: lmao I know what you want to do with all them faces, let’s get started ya creep
