My school is having a 20th Annual Bobcat Run (2026) to raise money for programs we love. I would be thrilled if you could support me! https://t.co/kgvW5tm8Hr
Here’s a recap of the April 2nd signing ceremony when the NRC signed PG&E’s 20-year license renewal application for extended operations of Diablo Canyon Power Plant.
The @NRCgov today approved @PGE4Me’s 20-year license renewal application for extended operations of Diablo Canyon Power Plant. The NRC confirmed Diablo Canyon meets the highest standards for nuclear safety, environmental protection, and operational excellence.
This milestone belongs to our dedicated coworkers who safely operate this plant every day and to the four million Californians we are proud to power.
In his last interview back in 1996, Carl Sagan warned what could happen if we stop questioning those in power with science and curiosity. Watching it now-was he right all along?
The only mistake is to waste your time ruminating about your mistakes instead of learning from them and moving on. Frustrating mistakes should actually be a daily occurrence. They mean that you are still challenging yourself sufficiently, they mean you are still getting humbled by life as you should be, they mean you are still learning and growing unlike so many people past a certain age.
"One of the biggest problems with the world is that fools are always so sure and certain about everything and intelligent people are so full of doubts and uncertainties."
- Bertrand Russell
It’s a day to celebrate a major milestone in the life of Diablo Canyon! Unit 1 began commercial operation on May 7, 1985. 40 years later, we are honored to continue serving three million Californians with clean energy, now and into the future.
One of the many benefits of nuclear energy is that it produces virtually no air pollution or greenhouse gases. At Diablo Canyon, we are committed to protecting the planet for future generations.
