There was something deeply hopeful about Justice S. Muralidhar’s words on the Gen Z protests of the week of July 20.

He called it a “week of relief and joy”—because it showed that India’s young generation is not easily swayed by rhetoric, propaganda or empty promises. A generation that questions power, values compassion and truth, refuses to be intimidated, and even retains its wonderful sense of humour.

Most importantly, he saw these protests as reassurance that democracy in India will not be allowed to die and that young Indians will turn to the Constitution to protect the country’s future.

A Muslim female IPS officer said "Assalamu alaikum" in a video and it rattled them so badly that she was transferred as disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, Hindu IPS officers openly participate in Hindu religious ceremonies and organise Hindu events inside their offices, with no comparable outrage.

This is Senior IPS officer C.V. Anand after taking oath as DGP Telangana, with Vedic chants being recited in his office. There are hundreds of similar examples but Muslims didn't outrage over them.
