Today I went to the New Albany Fourth of July Parade with my dog Boone. As soon as the marching band passed by, the drums scared him and within seconds he escaped from his harness and ran away. He’s been missing since around 11:30. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST!

Great story about Joonas Korpisolo.

A couple weeks ago after a @BlueJacketsNHL victory, I witnessed a young girl bawling her eyes out while talking to a mutual friend in the concourse. I asked her what was wrong.

She explained she was near glass waiting to get Korpi’s autographed stick. After he was announced as the first star, Korpi took a victory lap and pointed right at her, tossed the souvenir stick up over the glass. It landed in this little girl’s hands for a split second until someone behind her snatched it from her grip.

She was inconsolable.

After hearing this story, I reached out to one of the #CBJ good guys, @DMaetzMedia, and asked if he was near Korpi down in the locker room presser. He said yes. I explained situation to him and he said Korpi saw what had went down with the girl after the game.

Korpi was on it.

After some logistics were figured out, Korpi was able to make a wrong a right by presenting a signed game-used stick to Alyssa within 15 minutes after my convo with Maetz.

This is what I will remember about Korpi. Being a great goalie for our team but an even better human in our community.
