one of the quotes i find most inspiring on a hard day:
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom"
Ecclesiastes 9:10
You gotta be a delusional optimist to see a version of yourself no one else around you can currently see long before you manifest that reality, the most successful people have this trait
Investing is about the future, not the present.
SpaceX is on the verge of becoming the backbone of connectivity worldwide: Starlink has flown through 10 million subs at 50% growth and 60% margin. In a few years they'll have 100 million subs and be one of the largest sub-based services on earth. Direct-to-cell is coming.

"Until death, all defeat is psychological." - Marcus Aurelius
Refuse everything that would lead most people to give up.
Refuse it.
Rise from the dead 1000 times.
Commit to never stay down & never give up.
Everything you want is on the other side of struggle.
The big secret nobody tells you is that everything is actually easy. you just have to do it. That's it. That's the whole secret. Most people spend years psyching themselves out over something that takes five seconds of just doing it. Stop overthinking. Stop preparing to prepare. Just do the thing. It's easier than you think.

My father and grandfather were initiated as Ifa priests before they gave it up and went back to Christianity. While my father was still deep in traditional spirituality, an incident where he sensed that an accident was going to happen some seconds before it did shocked me. I was in the car with him. He got the signs and started getting agitated, and that agitation caused the accident he was warned about.
The reason they gave it all up was this endless loop of cause and effect, then sacrifice. I started trying to understand it all from a science perspective. There had to be an explanation of how people could see into the future, and I realized that for those who had the gift, it was more of a burden than anything else.
I studied a lot of West African secret societies and a lot of Christian phenomena that were unexplained. I even traveled to India to witness weird stuff. I still believed it could all still be explained by science somehow.
Fast forward to 2013, I was in Barcelona for a conference. I had attended Mass at Tibidabo before the Mobile World Congress. Inside the crowd, a lady was staring at me. She walked up to me, gave me a teddy bear, and said, “For your son.” I got married the year before, and to my knowledge, I had no kids yet, but something told me to accept it.
It turned out that my wife was already pregnant, and my son was born exactly 8 months and 2 weeks later, after the lady gave me that teddy bear.
I now strongly believe there is more to life than all what we see. I also firmly believe in God as I have seen prayers do things for me that I can't fully explain. The spiritual is complex but also very simple and likely obvious.
