Spent 7 days building a document-processing SaaS.
Things I learned:
• Real-world data is always messier than expected.
• Edge cases take longer than the core feature.
• Building is easy. Distribution is hard.

Day 7:
No registrations yet.
But that’s fine - every product starts with silence before it gets noticed.
Building → Learning → Improving.

Day 6: 👨🏻💻
Fixed bugs in parsing logic today.
Now the app handles more bank statement formats without breaking.
Small wins, big progress 🚀

@catalinmpit Competition isn’t a reason to stop - it’s proof the idea is worth building.
You don’t need to be the best, just useful.
Ship ugly, ship fast, get feedback & improve later.
The real failure is never launching.
@cliftonsellers You know how every bank sends statements as PDFs?
Great for reading, terrible for working.
My tool fixes that in 1 click → clean Excel sheet.
No signup, no hassle, just upload and download.
⏳ Saves you hours.
📊 Makes data usable.
💸 Free to start.

Day 5 Observation:
Users are interacting with the site in unexpected ways. It’s fascinating to see which features get the most attention. 👀💻 #BuildInPublic
Day 4 (on Day 5 😅)
Startup time isn’t linear anyway.
Yesterday was all about chasing down a bug - users getting unlimited free conversions.
Today I’m tightening the free plan limits & adding more tests so silly misses don’t slip through again.

Day 3 - https://t.co/Wu5xFCtrrm
1. Parsing issue: PDF text came in one giant line, now split by date patterns, and (Dr)/(Cr) transactions parse correctly.
2. Usage limits: working fine, just added better error handling so users see why they can’t convert more.

Day 3 – Bug life 😂
Supposed to be:
• 1 free conversion/day (anonymous users)
• 5 free conversation/day (registered users)
But thanks to a broken limit check, users can convert unlimited PDFs → Excel without logging in 🤦♂️. Fixing this today.

Day 2 update 📊
https://t.co/Wu5xFCsTBO is slowly getting traction.
In the last 24 hours:
•474 pageviews
•178 unique visitors
It’s exciting to see more people finding value in such a simple tool. Early days, but progress is progress. #BuildInPublic
@FabioSilva7777 Love that! Definitely adding regression tests & logging next time, this comma bug was a tough teacher 😅. Kolega Studio’s workflow sounds awesome, I’ll check it out!
Day 2: Funny story from today 😅
The core engine of https://t.co/Wu5xFCtrrm actually crashed because of a silly mistake in my code.
Spent a couple of hours finding it and fixing it, and now… it’s running smoothly again 🚀 #BuildInPublic
@samm_duc Exactly 😄 Converting PDFs to Excel has saved me so much time! I’m also a big fan of Notion for keeping tasks organized, Zapier for automating boring stuff, and Loom for quick video demos. How about you, any go-to time-savers?
