Winning is not required to be a winner.
Scoreboards measure results.
They don’t always measure character, toughness, or leadership.
Did you compete?
Did you respond the right way?
Did you honor the standard?
The game gives you a result.
Your response reveals if you’re a winner.
I recently spent some time with WNBA legend Maya Moore, who left the game in her prime to commit herself to social justice causes — which included getting her eventual husband freed from prison. Given the relative silence from athletes in recent years, I ask Maya if it was worth it https://t.co/k24Eumm9b8
As part of their social responsibility platform, the NY Liberty have been a force in expanding youth hoops access across the city!

BREAKING: 2019 WNBA Finals MVP Emma Meesseman has committed to join the New York Liberty, per @alexaphilippou.
Meesseman hasn't appeared in the league since 2022.
Due to today’s events, our team is officially exiting the @TFNsRun4Roses Championship Tournament.
The safety and mental well-being of our players, families, and staff is my top priority as the coach.
What occurred today was tragic and deeply unsettling. Watching public safety officers rush in with shotguns, semi-auto patrol rifles, and helicopters circling overhead is not something anyone should have to experience — especially young athletes.
To ask teams to return tomorrow under these conditions is unacceptable. This is not just about basketball, and it should never be just about money.

Our @MaryvilleWBB staff will not be attending the remainder of the Run 4 Roses Championship.
What happened today was not normal, and should not be normalized. A very sad day for our basketball family.
Sorry to all our recruits, but I won’t be at the rest of Run4Roses. I will not partake in making this feel “acceptable” No one, especially our youth, should have to experience that & “just be okay” & play. Not after seeing tears & terror on so many faces. Be well & see yall soon!
Knicks-Pacers history 🧵 for the younger fans that did not experience the 90's rivalry.
1. These teams met 6 times from 1993-2000 with each team winning 3 of the series. 3 matchups came in the Eastern Conference Finals with the Knicks winning 2 of 3. Pacers won both semis.
“We want players that motivate us as coaches. Motivate us to do even more than we do. Those kinds of players, they make coaching fun. Every minute from when they walk in the gym till they leave that day, they are an energy source for everybody,” Geno Auriemma
I’m that player.
You don’t have to have played the game to be a great coach, it helps, but if you have a passion for something, a growth mindset, and know how to connect with people good things can happen. One of my greatest mentors as a coach and a teacher, I love this man, as do many. ❤️
New court, new game 🏀
We’re thrilled to announce that @SerenaWilliams – legendary tennis
pro – has joined the team as the newest owner of the Toronto Tempo.
