@darkkode593 Nope! After the Killer App Mod v1.1b update is released: I'll resume working on my contribution to User Error 3, and post progress updates on UE3 alongside KA v1.2 updates.
@AgentG245 But I wanted to say that I really enjoyed participating in your first TRON 2.0 stream! And just announced plans for the Killer App Mod, since it's the 22nd Anniversary of the release of TRON 2.0. π
@AgentG245 I'm sorry I haven't replied to you up until now, and also regret not being able to attend more of your streams!
Been a bit overwhelmed: looking after my parents who are both ill, new job, new girlfriend, mod projects, and so on.
@ChucklesJester By default, TRON 2.0 (Steam/GOG/Retail) doesn't work well with modern controllers in Windows.
#KillerAppMod v1.2 will include modern controller support.
Though, my understanding is Steam will set up the controls for you on the Steam Deck (SteamOS) if you play the game there.
Further sad news: Been informed that Don Babcock, aka Mor.Evil-1, passed away this weekend.
Don was a founder of Living Dead, that merged with Xistence's DSO, to become LDSO: one of the earliest #TRON 2.0 Multiplayer clans.
Rest in peace, program, from all of the LDSO team.
.@joeparlock was very kind a number of years ago, complimenting our team on the Killer App Mod.
Today he wrote a superb article about the unfortunate closing of Monolith Productions, and how he considers #TRON 2.0 Monolith's most underrated game.

@georgebsocial I worked on so many of the classic Lith games (Claw, Get Medieval, Gruntz, AvP2, NOLF, Sanity, Tron 2.0).
So sad to see the legacy come to an end. π’
On the bright side, I co-founded a studio with Brian Goble, so we're two Monolith OGs who got the band back together again. π
RIP Monolith. I go way back with Monolith to the mid 90s and being friends with Jace Hall and selling Blood to him (we were too extended with 3 other 3D games at the time). Jace was a real gamer and a hell of a businessman. I wish he was still making games or running a studio.
I respected early Monolith and loved games like NOLF, NOLF2 and Contract Jack. I liked FEAR and Condemned.
I've known lots of Monolith developers over the years from back then to today.
I sort of have a ticking clock once a studio is acquired until shutdown (more a 2000-2020 thing) but it was like 5 years. Monolith was acquired in 2004 so that's quite a good run. Their Lord of the Rings games were well respected.
I never hear anything good about Warner Brothers or the management there. Ever. They've been in a sad state of making games and trying to navigate the market for a long time, hits like Batman aside. Large corporate giants like this often flounder (Amazon Game Studios, etc). IMO Warner Brothers pretty much killed Monolith. They just don't have a solid plan for the market for whatever reasons and can't execute across studios.
So, pour one out for an early indie studio that rose from nothing, made well remembered games and went a long long way. RIP Monolith.
@Jeremy_Lamont@georgebsocial Very sad news. π’
Was worried this might happen, once the Wonder Woman game was "being rebooted".
Thank you, George and Jeremy, for letting me and everyone know.
And thank you, @kevinlambert and everyone who worked at Monolith, for all the wonderful games you created. β€οΈ
