‘If u wanted to kill yourself u would have done so already’
‘U have capacity to kill yourself’
‘If u want to kill yourself we can’t stop u’

This #WorldSuicidePreventionDay2023 focus needs to be on de-stigmatising the MH system
@WillowTree146 If they are worried about calories. I know snacks can be safe food for a lot of people seems silly they are doing this.Maybe if has access to fresh air look at the food they were feeding him so he was able to enjoy his snacks. There's a way round it they just don't seem to want to
@WillowTree146 What sort of stuff does he like ? I know u can get chocolate bars that are 90 calories crisps like quavers, squares and a few others from walkers are under a 100 calories (one bag from the multipack)it must be incredibly frusating I'm sorry u are going through this x
@HopeVirgo I was told I wasn't serious about going through with my urges that I wouldn't really do it. Then the next day I did and community team complety switched up after nearly dieing offering support they were meant to sort out months ago , apologised for their comments they made
@Imogen605 Same with me I don't what happened with you but I found out people were holding on etc and made people throw up. It can be incredibly tramutsing for you too so if you need to talk I'm here. We are mutals on tiktok I'm not some random xx
@Imogen605 Hope u are okay when I was airlifted after my accident last year I contacted them by email to thank them this year and found our more through email x
@splendid_fairy staff would check on the cameras see us sh and just leave us to do what we were doing . It broke down any form of compassion/ kindness. Things like fresh air we had to be taken down, and 95% of the time, it never happened as they were too busy . Oxhealth makes things worse
@splendid_fairy When I was in Abraham cowley unit under surrey and borders partnership they had oxhealth in the rooms (its been shut for refurbishment now ). I found the staff just gave up on us they never interacted with patients or left the office . It was hell being constantly watched
@tokyoslumbers My new cc said I dont want you to work with us. i want us to work with you. It felt like she care and listened too, which is a big thing so used to being shut down
@tokyoslumbers I was going through a rough patch went somewhere to end it and after being negotiated down I was told I wasn't serious and I wasn't going go through with it . I went through it the next day and they offered support why wait till it was nearly too late
Mental health hospitals don't have to be like this.
We need to act. Now.

An autistic 16-year-old spent SEVEN MONTHS on a busy hospital ward due to a lack of suitable children's mental health services. This is horrifying snapshot of the human rights crisis facing autistic people (particularly children) in need of support.

How can the system leave anyone like this ? Trapped in an acute ward without the support they desperately need. If anyone knows anyone who may be able to help lydia, please message her, she deserves so much more than this 💜
4 yrs ago, @BethMatthewsz was so desperate she did the unthinkable
A year on, she'd bravely opened up in extraordinary detail. I'll always be proud of her, and how hard she fought. I'm so sorry they failed you. All we can do is hope her story will continue to help other people
Despite government promises to reduce numbers of people with a #LearningDisability or autistic people locked up in inpatient units, the number has increased again to at least 2,045. 🔒
People should live in #HomesNotHospitals.

This has been going on for years when is enough, enough? When will someone accept what they are doing to vulnerable people, instead of trying to cover up what goes on,apologising and making empty promises that never happen? When will someone in power stand up and make real changes
This week is #AutismAcceptanceWeek we don't just need acceptance we need change and we need to be listened to. I'm tired of reading the same stuff, autistic people being abused, mistreated in hospitals sent to horrible placements, people being failed by the system.
