When someone assists me, especially financially, I get really emotional. It’s not even about the money sometimes, it’s the fact that someone cared enough to make things a little easier for me. 🥹
I have become sensitive (not allergic) to certain foods the past few years
I like to think it’s my body expressing heightened sensitivity to compensate for the resilience my mind has had to build more recently.
There had to be an outlet for some vulnerability and body caved in.
I am not religious but one of my favourite parts of the Bible is when Jesus didn't tell women to cover up, he told men to gouge out their own eyes if they couldn't control themselves
On a micro-level, the daily maintenance that goes into putting yourself (mind, body and soul) together as an adult is…like can we just pause it for like 2 weeks?
Totally agree.
Existing as humans is the ghetto fr.
In addition, someone said it’s ironic that we are called human BEings when we actually really are human “DOings”, because annoyingly, we simply cannot just be without doing anything to give our existence a meaning.
Tough.
Not suicidal or depressed, but honestly, an ethical way to just delete yourself from existence, with the assurance of heaven or even just nothingness, would slap. Maybe even sneak in a Ctrl+Delete to erase yourself from everyone’s memory too.
Existing is hard workkkkk
I will never forgive Pentecostal boomers for demonizing this festival.
The rhetoric was that this festival caused a boom of witchcraft in Nigeria because they brought art (sculpted works) from all over the world.
The arts were demonic.
I was told this in 1999. Imagine that.
@Acestagfredx@ColonialBreaker Correlation is not causation. Why not consider a more rigorous approach to diagnosis than lazily resorting to anecdotal evidence. Critical thinking and analysis is important to diagnose political and economic issues.
We can’t solve our problems if we already deem them demonic.
This is more common than we think and it’s sad.
A Nigerian woman here tweeted she doesn’t allow her husband change her baby’s diapers too.
Some “regular-looking” guy also said he couldn’t trust himself to take his little niece to the bathroom alone.
People are sick out there.
