@jhasomesh May I venture a guess? If submitted to a security conference today, such a paper risks being rejected (brutally) on the "grounds" of incremental contribution or lacking novelty ๐
I like many things about the journal/revision model adopted by the security conferences. Having to wait for a whole year to present accepted papers is not one of themโณ๐
