The mosque in the Saharanpur Collectorate was demolished at 5 AM this morning.
Does the constitutional guarantee of freedom of religion no longer apply to Muslims? Why is it that our places of worship are constantly bulldozed on flimsy grounds?
The mosque committee produced records going back to 1911 to establish its existence. Prayers have been offered there continuously for more than a century. This is the very definition of waqf by user, which is still protected as waqf under law.
The Limitation Act does not ordinarily allow the Government an unlimited period to wake up one fine morning and assert possession over immovable property.
There was more than a century of open, continuous and public possession? The State cannot pretend that this possession began yesterday, hence the principle of adverse possession would apply even if we concede to the state’s arguments.
The mosque came first, the collectorate later.
For some people, perhaps the very sight of a masjid causes pain. That is their problem, not ours. Look away if you must. You cannot bulldoze our masjid just because you have an itch.
My religious freedom is not dependent on your mercy.
Paying ₹3,600 a year just to receive a bank OTP, is this really a Mobile Service or an "OTP Tax"?
Today, a Mobile Number is required for almost everything important
Banking
UPI
KYC
Credit Cards
Insurance
Government Services
2FA / OTPs
If your SIM becomes inactive,
access to several essential financial and digital services can become difficult.
But if someone does not need Mobile Data, already has Wi Fi at home,
and uses the SIM only for OTPs, SMS and incoming calls,
why should they still have to pay for expensive bundled recharge plans ?
Imagine a family of 6
₹3,600 × 6 = ₹21,600 per year.
Just to keep their mobile numbers active.
If people already have Wi Fi at home,
why should not there be a ₹500/year basic plan that provides only essential services like incoming calls and OTP or SMS ?
Telecom companies have every right to make money by selling data
that’s fair.
But here’s the bigger question
In Digital India, should people really have to spend thousands of rupees
every year just to maintain access to essential services like Banking,
KYC and 2FA ?
If a Mobile Number has effectively become part of our Digital Identity,
should not there also be an affordable basic plan simply to keep the SIM active ?
Maybe it’s time for TRAI to seriously consider this.

No one is speaking about this Open loot.
@baxiabhishek@internetfreedom .in domains are a farce now. The regulatory body blocks and suspends domains on flimsy grounds. Domain registrant KYC process is also very opaque.
Guest of Allah’s House… free your heart and leave behind whatever distracts you; for your mindful presence in Masjid Al-Haram is the most beautiful memory.

🚨 @airtelindia & @reliancejio please launch a truly affordable/low cost Voice + SMS only Monthly recharge plan with ZERO internet data.
Not everyone needs daily data. Many poor, low income, senior citizens and basic keypad phone users mainly need calling and SMS.
Example - Start With 100Rs Plan

I an sorry i retweeted this closet Hindutva guy thinking he is rationale and intelligent. But his hatred for Islam is out in the open. A Hindu is inciting violence against another Hindu. But he calls him jihadi and Taliban and not Hindutva terrorist.
All our discussions "Madrassas should also teach Science, Technology" or 'clarifying' they also teach XYZ beyond Islamic Sciences comes out of our own internalized Islamophobia.
It's like trying to explain why an Engineering School doesn't teach Medicine.
Why?
Stop it please!
Historic day. 🇮🇳 🇮🇳
