🚨🗣️ Gary Neville: “Oh, Marcus Rashford. What do we think? Last question”
🗣️ Jamie Carragher: “Can we do a podcast without mentioning Rashford? Stop it. Oh my God! It’s like the Trent and Rashford, there was like a little part of the podcast. The Trent part or the Rashford part.
🗣️ Neville: “But he's come back to United”
🗣️ Jamie: “So what? Oh my God. He's just a good player for Manchester United.”
📲 Rashford replied via X:
"Thanks, Jamie. It would be great to be able to get my head down and play football without my name being mentioned every day 😭"

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are CRANKING up plans to sign a LB after deciding that was the most pressing issue to be fixed in Michael Carrick’s squad ahead of the new season.
Left-back is now seen as the area of the squad most in need of investment, although a deal for Lewis Hall appears all but DEAD.
United had identified Hall as their top target for the position, but the 21-year-old is set to stay at Newcastle.

🚨🗣 Dermot Mee on committing to Manchester United, even though he knows his chances will be limited:
"You have to think about every contract you sign, whether it's an insurance contract or a football contract,"
"You just have to weigh up the pros and cons.
"For me, being at Manchester United since 11, it was really HARD to turn down.
"I LOVE the club, I love being here, and I want to help the team to do really well this season.
"It's not deflating. From the outside it seems a lot HARDER than it is.
"I train every day with some of the BEST players in the world, so if anything, that could be harder than stepping into the games and being on the bench and being ready."

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are determined to remain disciplined in the transfer market, setting firm valuations for targets and refusing to overpay. The club also want to sign players who are fully committed to joining.
That approach saw United miss out on Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes, but the belief is the right-value opportunities will emerge in the weeks ahead. [@David_Ornstein] #mufc
