Roblox will require users to have an active 1000 or 2200 Premium subscription to publish 2D clothing.
By March 20th, if the item uploader does not have Premium, Roblox will put the item off-sale and delist the item from the marketplace.
@Njbbear i just hope they reconsider the rule. it would be really annoying to quit a game i've been designing 7 years on just cus some greedy old guys keep being a bitch to us yk
@Njbbear yeah it's definitely going good for u guys and i'm happy for u all (ive got a good amount of friends in ugc, so im celebrating for them), but roblox needs to keep its word cus 2d clothing setbacks have been getting out of hand since ugc started honestly 😭
@Njbbear and it essentially makes it so hard to start that nobody wants to anymore. A lot of us are pointing out the hypocrisy of saying they're gonna maintain the clothing while putting through rules that disadvantage it, which is why me and others are so mad at this!!
@Njbbear yeah roblox honestly just aims for the most amount of money possible but their stocks keep going down 😬😬we can still try though! i wanna fight to be able to continue this hobby, even if it doesnt make as much money as ugc lol
@Njbbear I understand but if you never contest what's wrong or weird for you you'll never get change. If we dont manage to overturn the rule, i'll probably leave, you're right. but i'll be fighting anyways because i've lived with this community for a while, and i dont wanna see it die
@Njbbear that's nto necessarily true, a lot of ugc nowadays on the market is low-poly brainrot or slightly textured simple models. it still garners more sales than a set of clothes that can take up to 15 hours to draw (because a lot of us draw the clothes)
@Njbbear exactly so because of the way this market is, the only thing this new rule is doing is making it harder for us to grow our group and sales u see😪
it's impossible for any of us to enjoy it anymore, as it usually starts as a passion project. it'll drive 2d clothing into the ground
@Njbbear u cant change the norm as a singular seller. if you go above market price nobody will buy
also seeing 2d clothing make money does NOT mean anyone can do it, considering they probably built that up from when uploading was free. their progress came from nothing, we cant do that now
@Njbbear and how much money do you get from it cus i can assure u it's not worth 10/mo, 120/year for so little cash back😭 since you can make 200k easily obviously 10$ a month seems little, but not for us! 200k from us is so much more work than you have to do. u js gotta recolor a lot😅
@Njbbear but you make enough to compensate for that??? and we have to make clothes cheap otherwise it gets no sales. how tf r we supposed to fund shit with 5 robux sales when you guys get so much more from yours??
@Njbbear can you look at my account for a second and tell me which of my posts werent a commission
also tbh i lowkey read it like "learn 3d modelling (new skill, cus commissions aren't new)" so i read it that way so in a way i guess thats my bad
@Njbbear and that because roblox pushes down 2d designers and promoted 3d creators. thats why 2d creators are complaining. are you slow? do u understand why im mad? considering it was free and now costs SOMETHING, imagine your ugc suddenly cost 100USD to upload. its annoying
@Njbbear stop acting like youre all that 😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️you are lowkey annoying asf like i was js mad over roblox but now ur here and for what 😭😭i genuinely didnt ask you
@Njbbear 1 UGC commission. yall make what 20k per thing?? dont even talk when u dont know how this works in a different field. if its not ur expertise why would what you say have any substance or impact on me... just shows me u know nothing about designers
@Njbbear omg help u literally dont care why are you arguing with me 😭😭😭if thats how u felt all alone u coulda kept that loud ass mouth shut cus who asked u what i want to do.... acting like ugc is so much better when 2d clothing was a pillar for u guys to start making 3d things
