@twolivesleft It’s looking similar for my MBP from 2017. Do you have Battery Health Management active? It reduces the full charge capacity, Coconut Battery can’t detect that probably.
@bukovinski@steipete 😑 annoying…seems like the bug can happen for multiple reasons, I don’t even have a text field in the cells, just UIImageViews. No idea yet why it’s happening. Thx for the radar, will look into it.
Here’s another heads up about backward compatibility with your iOS 13 update.
I’m betting you used named colors if you’re supporting Dark Mode. It’s the only way you can juggle two sets of color and maintain your sanity.
If you did, there’s a problem with folks on iOS 11.
Want to see something *really cool*? 😀
Since SwiftUI views are just plain old structs, they can easily be made Codable, which means that a view hierarchy can be decoded directly from JSON! 🤯
This is backend-driven UIs in <100 lines of code. Will publish all of it very soon 🚀
In iOS 13 you can now change the preferred language for each app individually. Developers get this new settings preference automatically without even updating their app for iOS 13. #wwdc19
We have lots of ways to catch issues:
1. Compiler error
2. Unit test
3. Integration test
4. PR comment
5. Manual QA
6. User feedback
When you find a problem, ask how you can move it up 1 or more levels.
e.g. “How can I turn this PR comment into a compiler error or unit test?”
Instead of chasing multi-platform solutions that has layers upon layers of abstractions controlled by 3rd parties - I prefer simply taking the time to learn the other platform's language. Both Swift & Kotlin are amazing - and building natively results in far fewer compromises 👍
Created some text replacements so that I don’t need to switch to the emoji keyboard all the time on the iPad, and was really delighted to find out that they sync to all devices (even the Mac). Even though I ❤️ the Control+⌘-Space emoji picker on the Mac, this is even faster 😀🎉
@CennettekiSebze I heard it from several people, yes, I believe it’s a general OLED problem, not a faulty device. I didn’t return mine, but if you go to the Apple Store tell me how it went 😉
🤦♂️ Doh, screen recording doesn’t pick it up of course, I just watched it on the same screen so it happened again live 😄
So the video is useless on non OLED screens, but the issue is real (for me at least). https://t.co/nl0Qa8Se7M
Can anyone else reproduce this on an #iPhoneX? Dark icons (Sonos, Strong, Oak) on a black background seem to move. Looks like typical OLED black smear effect, hoped iPhone X wouldn’t have this issue. (Surprised that screen recording can pick this up if it’s a screen issue.)
