@MrAndrew@irutsun They also struck me as ways to navigate dysfunctional organisations purely as an individual. Not that they are completely wrong, but they seem to point to deeper problems.
@Loftio Fwiw, you can migrate from one server to another, so you don't have to commit to your "forever server" immediately! Can't help you with b), but I think c) might be the point for many.
@sil After bouncing through a bunch of pop3 mailbox providers, I've ended up at Fastmail. It seems stable, reliable, and not about to pivot to some other business model!
@alicelthwaite I'm guessing about the cost, but it seems security cameras/webcams are already in place or cheap to add. Then it's "just" CPU. That seems cheaper than rolling out aerials and receivers to me. Sensors seem to dominate the initial cost for pervasive systems.
@jennleaver The apples mixed in with the potatoes made me wonder: is this a French AI generated image with a pommes de terre / pommes sur terre confusion? Or is it just someone being a bit odd?
@Suw I did a (simple) course with @studiochoc a few years ago, and I'm sure Ellie would be able to help you with that sort of thing. Think they offered zoom sessions for a while too, but can't find any details. Maybe they can chip in here?
@JessPWhite @irutsun That's a lovely backstory and a kind offer. But I won't inflict my singing voice on innocent followers. I'll just hum quietly in the background and try to keep time between the tweets!
@irutsun Ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum bom bom
I'm enjoying this twitter-based karaoke duet thing you and @JessPWhite have got going on, but I feel I'm missing the backstory?
