It is such a shock to hear of the loss of such a passionate and caring Indigenous leader. Nos itayum pi priyayr vont à sa famille. https://t.co/ZJIhpywDBM
While I am psyched for Wab’s election it irks me that people do not recognize that he is not the first. How is it that people forget Stephen and all that he did?
Tonight is a historic night for Manitobans and every Canadian.
A huge congratulations to @WabKinew.
The first First Nations Premier elected in Canada. You've inspired generations of Indigenous youth to come.
With the Manitoba NDP, the future is looking brighter. 🧡
1 of 2 Wab’s speech was so powerful. I am always seeking balance between tipaymishook and wahkohtiwin. As he said: “…it has to be you to make the decision…it has to be you to make the first step forward…a government can’t do that for you…but if you take the first step…
Watching Political Blind Date on TVO with Sol Mamakwa. I am huge fan. It is so amazing to have such a great leader bring an Indigenous perspective and voice to the table in Ontario.
Aujourd’hui, comme plusieurs Canadiens, je vais réfléchir à l’histoire du Canada et essayer de réinventer l’avenir. Les survivants d’Île-à-la-Crosse me préoccupent. https://t.co/Uw3KWuK5v5
Today, along with many other Canadians I will reflect on Canada’s past and try to reimagine the future. Top of mind are the Métis residential school survivors from Île-à-la-Crosse. https://t.co/Uw3KWuK5v5. https://t.co/h5RYBfFdJq

Watched part one of Thunder Bay. Hard to watch the bare face of colonial violence, but really resonant, making me reflect on Pamela George and the thousands of MMIWG!
My condolences to the Pasap, Lonechild and BigEagle family. Dendrae was a smart young boy who loved his mom and all of his siblings very much.

For those who are not Métis this may seem academic but for us Métis who have faced questions, attacks and general denial of Métis Indigeneity, it is crucial that people understand that Métis does not mean mixed and that the Métis Nation does not extend east of Ontario.
This is kinda funny. The logic is actually upside down. The ones he calls gatekeepers are those of us who call out his fake Métis identity & the fake evidence he uses. It’s personal for us bc he is literally as fake as they come. There is only 1 historic Métis Nation.
