Bobby LaPin's stepmother-in-law, Mary Edington, is throwing her support behind Bill Ferguson.
In an interview, she tells me she has concerns with LaPin's judgement and behavior.
"The difference is like night and day between the two," she said, referring to Ferguson and LaPin.
"Emmanuel Bailey, a local businessman who partnered with Intralot to manage sports betting in D.C., has spent $45,000 through his Regional Alliance for Small Business Executives independent expenditure committee to support McDuffie’s mayoral bid"

Maryland/Baltimore peeps: the new transportation board survey is open till the 15th, and it is imperative you fill out the survey so we don't get bad policy:
Gadis was hired by @dcwater despite his being a central figure in the Flint Michigan water crises as a top executive for Veolia, an engineering firm that later paid $53 million to settle civil claims alleging it contributed to and prolonged Flint’s lead disaster. @nbcwashington
@AndyMasley The crazy thing is it isn't like he's shown some amazing managerial talent in any part of his life---like it is just baggage and no upside.
(not that it would be justified even if it were balanced)
@joshjacobsondc What responsibilities does SFDC have vs. the city? (i.e. is the city not administering it right or is it meant to be turnkey for the city?)
@Ahmad_AbuKhalaf If you read through his timeline like every other tweet has one. I realize it is a legitimate part of writing but knowing his staff's work product it seems like it is AI.

@DCHomos@WashProbs I think this is actually a campaign finance violation even if he doesn't have a candidate committee (no paid for by line) @jbhenchman
@Jordean4IA From non-major airports they probably don't even need to be super high status (like flying AL-DC you're not needing to be at the top of the food chain for free upgrades...)
The Post's voter guide is always helpful in getting the candidates on the record on big issues: Among other things, I noted McDuffie says he now doesn't support congestion pricing. He told @ggwash earlier this year that he did.
