It’s going to take a city council and mayor with some fucking ball to make anything happen.

But we need to remember that a large part of manual labor is not the skilled trades. Our agricultural output depends on immigrants picking and sorting that really only immigrants are willing to do.

@Midwest_expat @mnolangray The data is pretty clear about this. Unless you’re a high school dropout you’re more qualified than immigrants. The type of work you’re likely referencing is the skilled trades more than it is agricultural or general labor. The NAS is a good resources I’d check out.

@Midwest_expat @mnolangray I work in the trades and perform manual labor. The reality is that native born Americans don’t work these jobs. Just having a high school degree makes you more productive than almost anywhere other than manual labor. It’s why the majority of this work is done by immigrants.
