It feels like we're all trapped in the endless cycle of do more, win more, more more more. Gonna try building an app to lowkey weave mindfulness into daily life. Let's see where these threads land.
@DanielW_Kiwi My gut reaction is the parents? But we’re not that disciplined as we like to think; so maybe the state? But they’re wrong all the time … I … just make the kids work for them phone and if they desire enough the Universe will guide them. The Universe haven’t found them yet.
@mitsuhiko@hunvreus hey @mitsuhiko, sorry to hijack but can I plant this in your peripheral vision https://t.co/T1A1GIuJVE. I attempted to reconcile what an individual can do & should think about in the age of AI. Whenever you have time I'd appreciate a feedback. Thanks
@Fever905@bryanrbeal@lickwidspace I only use https://t.co/qgQvLQgLku nowadays. But it also worked when I used OpenWrt. I think my blind spot is I haven't used stock firmware on consumer devices for a long time. It sounds like the common denominator in your case is an archaic settings forced by your ISP.
@Fever905@bryanrbeal@lickwidspace No, as long as SSID & security settings match the clients should be non the wiser, and that's the point. That's how your devices can roam between different APs of a big network, or across networks.
I'm not saying your situation could not happen, it's just highly unusual.
You are projecting one observation and claim it universal truth. I run 3 Unifi sites with same SSID so that users can roam between buildings. Different APs, routers, and internet providers. Your devices might have been set to associate with a specific MAC. This is not the default behaviour
@DanielW_Kiwi@SmokingWR3CK4G3 Some the new houses were built with non thermally broken joinery without ventilation, coupled with more insulation, and airtightness it traps more moisture than older houses. Higher temp higher moisture == mould cultivation 😭
@DanielW_Kiwi@SmokingWR3CK4G3 I assume you know what you're looking for? Not every new builds are done right either. We're just trading for different set of problems ;)
Best when you can find those with PassivHaus principles without the cert tax ... those are diamonds in the haystack man.
