This week we learned the significance of Orange Shirt Day by learning about Phyllis’ story. We reflected on how sad and lonely her experience was. Our focus this week was to learn ways we could show love and kindness to others. 🧡 @Indigenous_cbe @prairieskycbe #WeAreCBE

In science we’re having so much fun constructing and testing boats in water! Today we focused on sails and how they help boats propel through water! 🌊⛵️

Today we designed and created boats and tested to see how many pennies our boats could carry. One student made it to 121 pennies! 😮👏

I had so much fun creating this worksheet for math! Today we practiced representing double digit numbers while using 10s rods and 1s blocks. Of course, I had to make it St. Patrick’s Day themed! 🍀😁

Today we wrapped up our sorting and graphing unit woohoo! Students had so much fun creating their own survey question, collecting data, and then creating a pictograph. What’s your favourite Seven Sacred Teachings animal 🤔? #CBE #fieldwork #CJM

In connection to our inquiry into water, we discussed ways in which we can do our part to conserve water and also learned about the water crisis and shared our thoughts. Students drew concept maps to display their ideas.
