I don’t know how couples living alone raise kids. I live with my parents and am still sleep-deprived and on edge of my senses.

My wife feeds the 14-day-old baby. Jaapa or I change the baby's diaper, and then I drop the baby off downstairs with his grandparents for burping and sleeping. That is 90 minutes or so of continuous sleep we get. Grandparents change diapers too and sometimes feed expressed milk (we try to keep the use of expressed, and formula milk to a minimum)

Yesterday the baby was crying and crying nonstop at night. Within the second hour of crying his grandmother came up to our room despite her knee issues to help us.

I pray that no couple has to raise their kids alone. Raising kids has always been a community activity.

Thousands gathered at Mosques around the UK to offer Salat-ul-Kusuf and listen to the live sermon of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) from Islamabad, UK through MTA.

In his Salat-ul-Kusuf sermon, expanding on the purpose of the eclipse, Huzoor (aba) quoted the Promised Messiah (as) and said:

“Hence, it is as if in the observance of these acts, such as prayer, humility, and earnest supplication, lies the very wisdom that the eclipses of the sun and moon occur at a time when some calamity is about to descend, when an era of tribulation is near, and when such causes of misfortune have gathered in the heavens that are hidden from people’s eyes and are known only to Allah the Almighty. Thus, the mercy and profound wisdom of Allah the Almighty necessitate that at the time of any eclipse, He teaches people those ways that will remove the causes of the eclipse.” (That is, to remove the harmful effects of the solar eclipse and to dispel its evils.)
