Starting this summer, we’re increasing speed limits wherever it’s safe to do so on highways across Ontario, getting drivers where they need to go faster.
By October, close to 90 per of Ontario’s highway network will be at 110 km/hr, reflecting the speed for which our highways were designed.

And we’re off! ⛳ Kicking off the PAO’s 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament this morning. Looking forward to a fantastic day of golf for two great causes!
Liberals are wasting $750 million on another failed boondoggle that targets law-abiding hunters, farmers, and sport shooters, instead of going after the real gun smugglers and gangsters.
Make the amnesty permanent by ending the wasteful gun grab now.

Today, we mourn the loss of Constable Marc Pinizzotto.
“No words can capture the impact on Marc’s family, who expected him to come home today. We as a Service will support them and each other,” Chief Myron Demkiw said. “This loss will have a profound impact on the Toronto Police Family. Our Service, our members, and all members of the larger policing family are deeply saddened.”

I am deeply saddened by the loss of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali who was killed in the line of duty earlier today in Hearst Ontario.
As we grieve this tragedy, we remember the extraordinary courage and sense of duty required of those who put on the uniform and serve our province each day.
My deepest condolences are with Constable Bali’s family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire OPP community during this difficult time.

The night kicked off with the legendary Paul Brandt @paulbrandt singing Alberta Bound 🎶 along with more than 2,000+ fired up conservatives ready to keep Alberta strong and free.
The momentum is real. Alberta is booming. Pipelines are moving forward. Investment is pouring in. And after years of fighting back against Ottawa’s anti-Alberta agenda, we’re finally winning.
We're finishing strong.
As the spring session at Queen's Park draws to a close, I'm reflecting on a transformative eight weeks. We've introduced practical legislation to protect Ontario's economy and keep our communities safe, including Bill 119, the Protecting Ontario's Streets and Communities Act.
As I mark the fourth anniversary of my election, I remain as grateful as ever for the trust the people of York Centre have placed in me. It is a privilege to serve them, and I will continue working every day to deliver results for our community and for Ontario.
WATCH: Ontario says its had enough of Liberal pro-crime policies, and previous defunding of correctional services, as it moves to aid police service board priorities across the province. A proposed new law would allow @TeamKerzner to focus all police services on public safety. 🇧🇲
It was a pleasure to meet with @mickeyamery and the Alberta justice delegation today. Ontario and Alberta share a strong commitment to protecting our communities, supporting law enforcement, and keeping Canadians safe. We had a productive discussion on our shared public safety priorities and the importance of continuing to work together to deliver real results for the people of both provinces.
Nothing says "change" like bringing back Justin Trudeau's top confidant and chief Minister to import the very policies that cost Canada hundreds of thousands of jobs, drove up costs for families, undermined our global reputation and national unity.
We cannot afford Trudeau 2.0.
Ontario has joined Alberta and Saskatchewan in the @CCFR_CCDAF’s legal challenge of the feds sweeping gun bans. Solicitor General @TeamKerzner slammed the ‘buyback’ saying it “has done nothing to address the root causes of gun violence in our communities.” https://t.co/dhtGTGqwrn
Today, I introduced bold measures that will help #ProtectOntario communities and keep streets safe.
If passed, the Protecting Ontario’s Streets and Communities Act, 2026 will:
✅ Protect transit riders by cracking down on illegal drug use on transit ✅ Improve protections for victims of human trafficking
✅ Strengthen oversight of the towing and private security industries ✅ Give law enforcement stronger tools to keep communities safe

Yesterday, I informed Premier Ford of my decision to resign from Cabinet and from my seat in the Ontario Legislature, effective June 5.
To Premier Ford, to the people of York-Simcoe, to Ontario’s Francophone community, to the York-Simcoe PC riding association, to my Caucus and Cabinet colleagues, to my constituency and ministerial teams, to the Ontario Public Service and my family – thank you.
We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
