The key difference is circuit-switched telecom vs VoIP.
Traditional international calls involve telecom carriers exchanging and terminating calls across networks, with associated wholesale charges.
WhatsApp uses VoIP and sends compressed audio over the internet.
Distance matters much less when Singapore and Mumbai are just endpoints exchanging IP packets.

Authorization Code Flow with Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE)
The thing is that Traditional OAuth Authorization Code Flow assumes the app can safely store a client secret.
BUT
Mobile apps and SPAs cannot, that's where the supe above flies in
🧵
Additionally, the calling app creates a transform value of the Code Verifier called the Code Challenge and sends this value over HTTPS to retrieve an Authorization Code. This way, a malicious attacker can only intercept
From the @three_cube Linux Basics for Hackers book
🥱Linux automatically assigns all files and directories default permissions of 666 and
777, respectively
😮💨You can change the default permissions
allocated to files and directories created by each user with the umask method
The umask value is not universal to all users on the system. Each user can set a personal default umask value for the files and directories in their personal .profile file. To see the current value when logged on as the user, simply enter the command umask
But know this:- chroot is not a security boundary like containers. Root inside chroot is still root and can potentially escape if not carefully locked down.
chroot (change root) is a Linux/Unix command and system call that changes the apparent root directory (/) for a running process and its children. This means the process cannot access files outside the specified directory tree, it is jailed inside the specified directory
Example
sudo chroot /mnt/myroot
This command will make /mnt/myroot appear as / to any commands you run next. So /mnt/myroot/etc/passwd becomes /etc/passwd to the chrooted environment.
