hardest thing for me to grasp as an adult is you have to keep showing up no matter how you feel. you gotta do this shit sad, do it heartbroken, do it grieving, do it tired. life doesn’t care, it waits for nobody, you just have to keep going.
This month has been incredibly heavy.
I can’t pretend otherwise. I’ve caught myself desperately searching for a little peace, crying at 2 a.m., wondering what is wrong with me. I’ve been doing everything I can to stay strong, but some nights, the weight of it all feels unbearable. My mind is exhausted, my heart feels worn out, and sometimes I don’t even know how I’m still moving forward. Still, I’m here. Even on the days when I feel completely lost, I keep choosing to fight through the quiet battles that no one else can see.
Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
