@GAEmpowerMEnt Honestly, I am blessed to be where I am now. After I aged out, I fell into depression, dropped out of college, moved to LA and really found myself. It was there that I found my passion for Interior Design. Today, I am the lead designer for West Elm in Buckhead. #GAEPC

@GAEmpowerMEnt So I am using this time to put my health and diet back in check. I bought veggies and fruits to stabilize my diet. I'm also using this time to create a business plan for my Interior Design business. Creating visuals, website, cards etc.

@GAEmpowerMEnt Fortunately, my job was able to compensate a two week leave for me. In my case, there is fear knowing that I am not able to visit my dad in Guatemala because of his country's quarantine. It has brought a sense of anxiety. #GAEPC

@GAEmpowerMEnt Emotional and Mental support. I was depressed and walked away from Syracuse. I resorted to couch surfing and smoking legal weed in LA for a few years before finding my way in my chosen career, spiritual centering and stability. #GAEPC #GAEChat

@GAEmpowerMEnt But also I didn't have the funds to focus on school alone and pay for my flights to go home in Atlanta for the breaks and holidays. A push to find better mental support and smarter ways to find financial support and stablity as well as scholarships would have aided my path.

@GAEmpowerMEnt I believe I was not emotionally supported to be strong when I went off to college. I was accepted to Syracuse but not knowing how to find help made me feel weak amongst White Priviliged youth. It isn't the race as much as the support that I didn't have.
