grug hoping to fully release this by the end of the year, but grug recognizes there's still a metric shitton left to do, and so grug is tempering his expectations
grug have no idea what this bit is supposed to be and thinks its overstayed its welcome, but too late to back out

@GobaDev One thing I do remember being kinda cool about this game that I haven't really seen since is that you could sorta "possess" whatever items you throw/rockets and arrows you shoot
@TurboJehtt Like it feels like they consistently want voice acting and are willing to fully commit to having it except for the part where there's actual voices coming out of their mouths at which point they draw the line
@GobaDev I think loading screens are a huge part of this too
Like there's something about a PS2/PS3/360 era loading screen with "loading screen tips" or a chunky "loading" icon that's pulsing/spinning in the corner stuttering in the right way that feels "real" but hard to properly fake
No uncanny valley, just ultra-humanlike robots that feel natural.
Hangzhou-based AheafFrom isn’t just building emotional humanoid robots, but replicas of future humans.
They collaborate with artists to craft beautiful appearances, powered by CharacterMind, a system that gives robots “emotions.”
It understands tone, expressions, and gestures, then responds with voice, facial expressions, eye contact, and body language, making interactions feel like talking to a real person.
