THIS IS HOW TO DEFEAT THE APC:

We must apply Davido’s method in 2027.
Elections in Nigeria are still 90% manual.
So we must have the physical copies of EC8A.

We must make sure that form EC8A & eECD8A (electronic EC8A) are uploaded to iREV in our presence. NDC must have a National Collation Center. They MUST provide Nigerians with (176,846 x 3) = 530,538 polling unit agents to police the 176,846 PUs across the country.

They MUST have (8,809 x 3) =26,427 agents policing the 8,809 wards across Nigeria as well.

These agents must be well-trained & paid well!

We must make sure our polling unit results are uploaded on the iRev & the figures are entered on eECD8A (electronic EC8A) in our presence.

All the results must be uploaded in real-time or as soon as internet network becomes available.

INEC OFFICIALS MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE PU, UNTIL ALL RESULTS ARE UPLOADED TO iREV. Then we follow the votes to the WARD & STATE COLLATION CENTERS!

We must be fearless. We must continue to raise alarm & face APC rigging machine head-on.

We must follow the votes bumper to bumper!

If NDC provides 530,538 agents & we follow these steps meticulously, Nigerians will win!

The people deserve governance anchored on transparency, accountability and public service not the perception that political power is a vehicle for protecting access to public resources.

I have watched the drama surrounding the Osun election with great concern. From the EFCC’s freezing of the State account days before the poll, to Gov. Adeleke’s warnings against alleged federal interference, the political temperature was definitely extremely high.

This raises a fundamental question: Is political power in Osun ultimately about serving the people, or about controlling the machinery and resources of government?

The Adeleke family has every right to participate in politics, but Osun State is not a family inheritance.

Yet Osun people came out, voted, and INEC declared Adeleke the winner for a second term.

What troubles me is what happened before and after the election.

Osun: EFCC Must Exercise Caution

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)’s act of freezing Osun State Government’s bank account, barely 10 days to the Governorship Election, calls for caution and circumspection.

Granted that the EFCC is empowered by law to request that a bank account of any person, corporate entity or government institution, be frozen or placed on Post-No-Debit restriction; this power is, however, expected to be exercised with legal restraint and caution.

As held by the court in EFCC v AG Benue State (2022) LPELR-58696(CA) (a case that shares uncanny similarity with the present situation), the EFCC can only make such a request for PND restriction on the State’s account where there is a reasonable suspicion that the account is involved in any financial crime. In the absence of such reasonable suspicion, placing lien on the account will be unlawful and arbitrary.

Perhaps it bears mentioning that the PND request dated August 5 2026 in respect of Osun State Government Statutory Allocation Account maintained with First Bank will automatically elapse within 72 hours of EFCC request. Consequently, First Bank and other affected banks must either insist on a court order justifying continuous restriction or remove the lien, upon expiration of the 72 hours. In the absence of a valid order of Court after 72 hours, the PND on Osun State account will become unlawful.

While we must all stand in solidarity to ensure that Osun State coffers is not abused and peoples’ money is not howsoever diverted for other nefarious purposes, we must also insist that state machineries should not be deployed as a political tool by powerful people against targeted opponents.

There is already a perilous precedent with Osun State Local Government system. For over 12 months, the Federal Government has unlawfully, unconstitutionally and callously withheld Osun Local Government Allocation. Head or tail, it is the people at the grassroot that suffers the heavy consequences of this needless power play.

The functionality of a state should not be crippled owing to duality of political interests. The interest of Osun people matters more.
