🚨 My Tesla literally saved my life yesterday. What started as a normal drive turned terrifying fast.
I unintentionally fasted for 17 hours, took some medicine, and had a severe allergic reaction. My body shut down—I passed out while driving on the freeway, mid-conversation with my wife on the phone.
Thank God my Tesla had Full Self-Driving engaged. It detected I lost consciousness (thanks to the driver monitoring system), immediately slowed, activated hazards, and safely pulled over to the shoulder. No crash. No danger to anyone else on the road.
My wife heard me go silent and knew something was wrong. She used @Life360 to alert emergency services—they located me within 5 minutes.
They attended to me enough for me to tell them, 'I don't want to abandon my truck here on the freeway.' So the Tesla autonomously drove me the rest of the way to the ER. I walked in, got admitted, and they stabilized me overnight.
I'm being discharged today—levels back to normal, feeling grateful and alive.
Huge thanks to my incredible wife for staying calm and acting fast, and to @elonmusk@Tesla@tesla for engineering cars that literally protect lives when the driver can't. This isn't just convenience—it's life-saving tech. 🙏⚡❤️

Walk away now and it all becomes meaningless pain.
I CANT WAIT TILL A FEW YEARS FROM NOW
I know I’ve been struggling this month, but that’s part of the game.
I keep thinking about where I’ll be 2–5 years from now. If I can already pull five figure months every now and then trading prop firms, what could happen if I just keep at it for years?
It’s wild to think about it. Five years of losing trading options, and now this year has been insane with prop firms.
Success doesn’t come quick. It takes years of refining your process, working on psychology, and sharpening your edge.
Those who stick with it will be rewarded. Don’t give up. I am not giving up for sure.
You know why?
I don’t want to work for someone else forever. I want to work for myself, and show up every single day no matter how many bad days or months come.
5. You learn that wins feel good… but consistency feels better.
One big win is nice.
Being able to repeat it over and over again?
That’s the real flex.

This was a very difficult post to write and took me several days of reflection.
On Monday, August 4, and Tuesday, August 5, I had my first two losing days on these five XFAs, losing $3,931.92 on Monday and $4,504.60 on Tuesday per account, which completely blew them. Once I go on tilt, it often leads to blown accounts within a day or two. And that’s exactly what happened. Tilt is dangerous because traders rarely blow accounts slowly over many weeks. It almost always happens very quickly once very intense emotions take over.
This time, the trigger was breaking one of my core trading rules, which is never trading with slow or unstable internet. Under almost identical circumstances several weeks ago, I blew 20 Apex accounts that were close to payout.
I was traveling, on vacation, and jet lagged from time zone changes. Despite my original plan to not trade at all during the trip, I felt an urge to “stay on pace,” a dangerous and deceptive thought, since blowing the accounts sets me back far more than simply waiting until I was home.
On top of that, I was trading a lot from my smartphone instead of my usual laptop, something I had never done before with these accounts. All of these factors combined to create the perfect setup for mistakes.
Looking back, I could have reduced the damage by setting a daily loss limit, even though Topstep XFAs don’t require one. I regret not doing so.
The lesson here is clear. Consistency in your trading environment is critical to consistent profitability. While it’s possible to trade successfully while traveling and even with slower internet, it carries higher risk, especially the risk of tilt from frustration.
The silver lining is that the most valuable lessons often come from the toughest losses. I now get to start fresh with the new Topstep dashboard and accounts, and I’m taking this as a reminder to honor my rules, especially when traveling. This doesn't mean you should never trade while traveling. Just be careful when you do and have a plan.
You don’t have to repeat my mistakes. Keep your trading environment consistent. And when you’re on vacation, truly take a break. The urge to trade is often just a lie we tell ourselves to justify impulsive behavior. In trading, every action should be intentional.
In 6 months you could see yourself:
-Starting to turn profitable
-Creating Discipline
-Growing your account

I’ve been holding onto this post for a minute. With the markets closed today for Good Friday, it feels like the perfect time to share it. This is a personal a reflection on the sacrifices we make as traders and poker players along this extremely challenging journey.
Blessed Good Friday to you all 🙏
Being a trader and poker player is a relentless mental marathon and a dance with uncertainty that few truly understand. Every moment spent in these arenas is emotionally intense, oscillating between exhilarating highs and crushing lows. You're never truly settled, never entirely "up," because the next risk is always looming on the horizon.
On a deep psychological level, trading and poker demand constant vigilance, with every decision made under a cloud of uncertainty. This continuous state of mental alertness activates your brain's primal fight-or-flight response, repeatedly triggering your amygdala which is the center of anxiety and fear. Even when you've won a big pot or completed a winning trade, there's rarely true relaxation because your mind immediately begins strategizing the next move.
Decision fatigue, a lesser-known but significant psychological phenomenon, sets in as you're forced to make critical choices repeatedly and quickly. Over time, this fatigue can lead to impulsive or irrational decisions, further complicating the already intense emotional rollercoaster you're navigating.
The constant pressure of potential loss creates anticipatory anxiety. It can be a relentless loop of "what ifs" that can wear down even the toughest mental defenses. The human brain is naturally inclined toward seeking stability, yet in poker and trading, stability is fleeting. This fundamental conflict between our inherent desire for security and the inherent uncertainty of these activities explains why the anxiety never truly dissipates.
Despite these challenges, trading and poker also cultivate extraordinary strength and resilience which I talk about often on my streams. Each difficult moment shapes you into someone capable of handling immense pressure, someone who thrives in uncertainty. The emotional intensity shouldn't be viewed as a form of torture; instead, it's training, honing your instincts, sharpening your judgment, and building a powerful mental toughness that most people can only dream of.
You're learning lessons that extend far beyond the table or the market: how to manage risk, navigate setbacks gracefully, and maintain composure under stress. You're becoming a master of emotional intelligence and self-awareness. These are the type of qualities that will empower every aspect of your life.
To thrive in these intense environments, remind yourself often of your purpose and why you started this journey. Lean into mindfulness and build routines to combat decision fatigue. Prioritize mental well-being, remembering that strength doesn't mean avoiding stress, instead it means mastering how you respond to it.
Celebrate your resilience. Celebrate the courage it takes to show up every day, to face uncertainty head-on, and to persevere through anxiety and doubt.
Every time you step up to trade or sit at the poker table, you're doing something remarkable. You're embracing risk, confronting fear, and chasing greatness.
Keep pushing yourself. The emotional battles you face in your journey will fuel your victories and strengthen your confidence tomorrow and beyond.
