And who won these Afrobeats categories?
Look at this Afrobeats category. Won by Tyla and Selena Gomez.
If Hollywood create zonal awards, they'll find way into it.
Our A to C artists have won hundreds awards against their big artists before Afrobeats awards were created.
Don’t blame them for this decision tbh!
But this is what bickering like kids gets you, we had a good thing going with afrobeats which was simply a fusion of pop/hiphop/RnB with Nigerian (African) lingo, folksy instrumentation, call & response etc.
until all of una decide to be saying no I’m not “Afrobeat” artist, and now you’ll get lost in the sea of other pop music whre you can’t compete, we are gradually going back tot he days of when our pop/urban music was grouped with “best world music”
Or “best folk music”. Get ready for some Mongolian throat singer to pack all the awards going forward bcos you think they’ll nominate you for “Best RnB/hiphop” from Magodo in the same category with Billie Eilis or Taylor swift & you’ll win w/o the label backing & infrastructure that those acts have I have a beach to sell to you in the Sahara desert.
The best recourse now is to just call it African Pop or Afropop but that one self go cos problem bcos of you know who! But basically our music all popular/urban music at the end of the day be it Afrobeats, Bongo flava, amapiano, siukous, gqom, Hiplife, whatever it’s all Pop music! Having a distinct label & category was never a pigeon hole it was just the fastest lever to get international recognition w/o having to compete with juggernauts like Drake, Taylor swift, Kendrick, Billie Eilish, Khalid, bad bunny etc.

So what's the issue with this? and what point are you trying to make with the quoted post?
Her emphasis is on doing those things too quickly and easy social platforming for love. This same society will drag you as a man if you platform your woman, and it goes wrong. Smh
Boy stfu.
There is no man as dangerous as one who 'fights' for women's rights but thinks his gender is a poison at every turn. You do this a lot. You are as dangerous as the hate you carry, and I hope women don't let you at the forefront of their fights.
Mehn!... fuck Twitter 'Feminists' and 'Alpha males'. No real-life experience or thought, just lunatic takes.
Fighting every married woman who says anything here is insane.
We need to work on our quantitative and qualitative reasonings as a group, and if you understand it perfectly, give the better alternative that is in your head.
Because she never said she PROVIDES in the 'your' context. 70% OF HER SALARY on her family shouldn't even be an issue
The moment you start comparing your evil to another person's to make your point is when you should know you are an ignorant and horrible person, and so is your ideology.
The Aluu Four lynching that involved students of University of Port Harcourt is no more different to Deborah lynching. Both are mobs taking laws into their own hands, but only one will get linked to a particular religion teachings, instead of realizing mob lynching is generally a problem in our country.
Maybe it’s Sharia and Islam that also inspired Aluu Four lynching or the numerous ones that has happened over the years across SW on people who steal. Keep gaslighting yourself that lynching is Islamic or agitated by Islamic teachings, rather than realize the true state of us as a people and our society. 👍🏾
Some months ago, saw a body along Festac road, just got burnt with tire on his neck, when it happens outside regions that are dominated by Muslims, it becomes a “sad state of our society”, but when same thing happens in regions that are dominated by Muslims, you’d start subtly making it an Islam thing.
