We’re handicapped by poor governance. There’s only so much individuals can do to contribute meaningfully and sustainably to a country’s development when the government actively sabotages progress.

Business in Africa cannot grow significantly, without reform in governance. You can't write Government out of China's growth story, and if you think you can "create Africa's Amazon/Alibaba" without logistics (roads, railways ports) or "Africa's leading AI Data Centers" without electricity, I am here to tell you that you are wasting your time.

We shy away from addressing governance, because it is risky, we could die in the process of challenging it - and also because many of us benefit from the existing corrupt, directionless order.
