@nathanmarz Modern tools don't run the full suite against each mutant, instead they target the tests using standard line/block/statement coverage.

Tangent Online bitched about the chess moves I used in "The Immortal Game", apparent not realising that I used the exact moves made (up until the point things get gruesome in story) by real masters (Topalov and Kasparov, 1999).
It's ranked as the #1 chess game of all time 🤣
