🇰🇷 | High tensions in South Korea as protests erupt against Iran war deployment plans.
South Korea is actively preparing to become the first country to join the US militarily in the Strait of Hormuz — and Seoul has seen daily protests ever since officials confirmed it.
Police tried to contain demonstrators as they took to the streets. With slogans such as "Everyone opposed to the Hormuz deployment, unite!" and "Refuse US military pressure!", activists are protesting near the US embassy in the capital.
The demonstrations are organised by Seoul Peace Solidarity and National People's Action, which have urged the government not to bow to US pressure or capitulate to Washington, and vowed to continue the mobilisations. Further protests are planned.
Washington has pressured Seoul for months to deploy forces to West Asia. It has never looked closer to reality.
Seoul has notified Washington it is willing to dispatch naval ships and maritime patrol aircraft, and local media report parliamentary approval is already being prepared.
It would be South Korea's first deployment at US request in 22 years.
The deployment still requires that approval to proceed, but officials confirmed preparations are already under way regardless.
While South Korea frames the package as "defensive," it would actively supply and enable US military operations against Iran, providing logistics, intelligence and direct cooperation with US forces.
South Korea imports essentially all of its crude oil, 70% of it from the Gulf, leaving it heavily dependent on traffic through the Strait.
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei warned Seoul on Monday, in Korean, that any country operating in the Strait would be regarded as directly supporting the aggressor, and that a sovereign state must not yield to US pressure.
Just last month, Washington downgraded its most important annual drills with Seoul, saying South Korea had refused to back its war on Iran.
South Korea is arguably the most subordinated country in the world to the US military. Under OPCON, it is the only country on earth whose military would pass to American command in wartime.
It hosts one of the largest US contingents anywhere, and Washington is its most important diplomatic and military partner.
New: a secretive DHS predictive policing unit is analyzing Americans' financial activity, feeding those names to police, then having cops pull them over. Not suspected of specific crime. We're revealing unit name: Predictive Intelligence Targeting Team https://t.co/rJjrVSlPei

By August 30, 1921 actual war was raging along Blair Mountain in WV. Ordinary men fought back against the violence done to them by the coal industry. Desperate people were fighting for their lives. The war didn't begin at Blair. #wvminewars
No one was there taking pictures for the cover of Time Magazine when my army engineering unit was digging mass graves outside Fallujah for all the men and boys the marines killed after refusing to let any males leave the city, then treating everyone who remained as a combatant.
Flock’s surveillance cameras have already sparked outrage. WIRED reconstructed its next-generation AI system, already in use by some police, to confirm it goes much further than tracking license plates. https://t.co/EXlNbR3wLj
Look at the code WIRED pulled from Flock’s own servers. Flock built an AI tool called OS Investigate.🚨👀
It accesses "commercial databases that contain Social Security numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives and associates." It also accesses "police case files, 911 dispatch logs, and commercial identity records." The prompts can generate dossiers ("workups") on people based purely on driving patterns, without a crime, a plate, or a name. It Can identify drivers, track patterns, find "witnesses," generate suspicion based on behavior without a target. Code was found publicly on Flock's website. 🚨
Flock is performing automated, suspicionless background checks (pulling SSNs, DOBs, relatives) using commercial databases on citizens who have committed no crime, have no warrant, and are not named in any case file. The trigger is purely an AI algorithm flagging their driving pattern.
🚨
NO officer initiates the search for the suspect, Flock's AI essentially acting as the investigator, but doing so through commercial data brokers. Flock pulls consumer reports without a permissible purpose.
⚠️⚠️
Why did Flock build OS Investigate? Because selling LPR cameras is a hardware game with limits. Selling an "AI investigator" is a high-margin SaaS play. To justify the valuation ($1B+), they need to monopolize the investigative workflow. To do that, they fused LPR data (which they hold) with police records (CJI) and commercial data (SSNs). ⚠️
Why are they doing this? Because Flock’s hardware is a commodity. The cameras are just metal on a pole. The real valuation the nearly $1 billion in venture capital is in their proprietary datasets. To justify that valuation, they have to build a total surveillance map of America that links physical movement to full digital and financial identities. They cannot legally buy that data on the open market because of the FCRA. So they built an AI to force the police to pull it for them. Flock gets the fused data, the police get the dossier, and Flock gets to declare the new AI-generated identity maps as "Flock Property" under their contracts.
⚠️⚠️
Flock is using the police as a legal shield to run unauthorized mass identity resolution queries for their own proprietary training and profit. The "perpetual license" terms gives Flock ownership of these AI-generated dossiers. They are building a national private surveillance database of SSNs linked to movement patterns, bypassing the FCRA by routing the queries through police terminals.🚨
Now look at their new August 2026 "Trust" updates. They announced a reduction in data retention to 7 days, but they created an exception called "Evidence Mode" where searched data is preserved instead of aging out. 🚨
Here is the trap. If they actually deleted data in 7 days, their AI prompts which ask for people "arrested more than twice in two years" would not function.🚨
The AI needs a multi-year historical window to track patterns. "Evidence Mode" is the backdoor they built to force all searched data into permanent retention so their AI can keep running. The 7-day retention is theater for the city councils. The permanent retention is the actual product.🚨
And the Audit Assistance" they say is to catch police misuse? It is a complete deception. The audit logs track the police officer. But the AI generates the lead before the officer interacts with the system. The AI does the suspicionless searching in the backend. The officer just clicks the prewritten prompt. The audit log captures the officer clicking a button, but it does not capture the unauthorized API calls Flock’s AI is making to the commercial databases to pull the SSNs. They built the logging system to cover their own corporate trail.🚨

Gotta scan 'em all: How Pokémon Go turned its players into Pentagon cartographers
Pokémon Go players supplied billions of street-level scans. Years later, the technology is being adapted for drones operating beyond the reach of GPS.

🚨Genesee County uses Flock cameras to capture and search vehicle data. But when Kettering University student Josh Tewolde requested records showing where the cameras are, who accessed the data and whether his vehicle was scanned, the county withheld key information.
Its excuse? The records belong to Flock, a private contractor. But the county’s own contract says it owns the data.
Josh is suing because government should not be able to hide public surveillance records behind a private company. If the government uses the cameras, the public deserves transparency.
Haiti doesn’t have a “gang” problem, it has a US imperialism problem.
Trump just revoked TPS from 350,000 Haitians overnight. But why are Haitians driven to leave their country in the first place?
In an interview from February, Dr. Jemima Pierre of @Blacks4Peace calls out US policy of "dumping guns and arms" in Haiti to create a failed state, resulting in the violence we see today.

So there’s this weird thing where @questlove was interviewing @Thundercat recently and DOOM came up because Thundercat has a ring of the mask by LA area jeweler Han Cholo. Misinfo begins now — it was said that Han Cholo designed DOOM’s mask. vERY false that was KEO X-MEN.
Aka Lord Scotch 79th KEO and DOOM first used a plastic mask but someone sat on it during a video shoot. So in the Lower East Side at an antique shop they found a suit of armor and used the face part of the helmet but it was too small for DOOMs face so they scrapped it.
On a walk they discovered a full
Size replica in metal of the Gladiator mask from the original film mounted on a wooden platform. They got their hands on this and KEO used the faceplate of it to craft the original metal DOOM mask with the help of a blacksmith who welded it to a harness that would fit DOOMs head.
Spent some hours on the horn with KEO yesterday where he told me the entire story again although I’m quite familiar and DOOM has told me the entire saga many times himself.
This history is very important and KEO is a very notable artist in Graf since the 70s. He also designed the Doomsday album cover and dozens of logos and covers for notable brands labels and artists. And musicians.
More than that he and Dumile were really great friends in real life and remained close even after DOOM moved to the UK and to the Islands etc.
Han Cholo is cool
I know his work from the LA scene
DOOM likely met him after running around LA after I quit
But he has zero to do with the origins of the mask

Please put respect on KEO’s good name and follow him on IG https://t.co/kNqPtmK8Ib
Peace!
Daniel Sanchez Estrada wasn’t accused of attempted murder or material support of terrorism after a protest turned catastrophically wrong outside an ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas. He was convicted of obstructing the investigation by moving a box full of antifascist zines after the protest. U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor gave Sanchez Estrada a 30-year term.
“Judge O’Connor stated from the bench that he is giving maximum sentences to the Prairieland sentences because “the state wants to send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.”
