Meanwhile dems in the last 4 years were strong domestically and steered the ship in the correct direction post-covid. I understand that dems didn’t run a good campaign, but I’m at a loss that people took in the last 8 years and chose to go back to Trump.

At least in 2016, you can kind of imagine people falling for a fake populist movement & promise of “draining the swamp”. But we now know what a Trump presidency looks like: disastrous handling of covid, tax cuts for the rich, inciting riots at the capital, & ppl losing healthcare
