Today marks the first day of me trying to write my dissertation with ADHD medication. For the first time in my 6 years of studies in architecture, I just thought of something and I was able to write it. I didn't forget, I didn't get distracted etc. I JUST WROTE IT #askadhd#ADHD
Ok but has anyone else noticed the Billie Eilish - Bad Guy strings cover in S1E6 - Rogue of Dr Who? Am I losing the plot or is that an easter egg I see?? #DoctorWho
In honour of discovering new allergies in our twenties this year, I would like to officially announce that my partner and I will be dressing up as our new found allergies this halloween.
I just sat there silently. Debated mentioning my ADHD, opted not to bc it isn't any of their business. But also was reminded about my shortcomings through their conversation. So many misconceptions I so wanted to correct but again, not a safe space so I held back...
I've not discloused my ADHD at work.
This morning someone said coffee is making them sleepy and one of the people who has previously been mean to me on several occasions said that could be a sign of ADHD and they had a 10 minute conversation about ADHD.
It infuriates me to see people become so nonchalant about it. People are still dying and having long term issues yet some are just so eager to throw away the masks and lift all covid rules. Please stay home if you feel ill. That isn't so extreme.
2 years into the pandemic, I just wanted to say COVID ISN'T LIKE A FLU! I got vaccinated, I wore my mask but still cought it at work. My colleague didn't test possitive while he started feeling sick so he came in. I also didn't test possitive for 5 days after feeling ill.
He was not coughing or sneezing at work. He just felt ill and in my small office, 1/3 of the employees are now sick with covid. I sit next to him. I've had some really bad flus in my time. But now I lay in the livingroom getting out of breath everytime I shift and turn.
@confusedandADHD Thank you. I got worse on day 5 and it was not possible for me to work at all so I have taken one more day off. I agree. I think I will need to draw some boundaries regarding health at work and put myself first.
How do you decide if you are too sick to work or not?
1/3 of my office has covid rn and the whole office is working from home as a precaution. Daily I get lists of things to do and feel pressured. I started feeling ill on monday and I only took 1 day off.
Is it if you are ill and can not work well, you must rest or is it unless you are missing a limb, need to call an ambulance or unconscious in a hospital bed, you should work from home?
I am working from home but tasks are taking me 3-5 times longer
This is day 4 of non stop headache and I feel so tired and feverish all the time along with the occasional cough fits that luckily seem to be better today. Since when is sick leave essentially just work from home and where do we draw the line?
Question to the ADHD community.
If my meds are temporarily unavailable nationwide and I can't work to the wild expectations of the capitalist economy, should I be taking sick days for the days I don't have access to medicine? What does one even do?

@DanaPiccoli Disappointed to say the least. I almost hoped they died together at this point. Why not also throw a good old remeo and juliet in there too. Eve literally has no reason to live at the end and has a rushed art essay vibe one would write in school. All that story build up for what?
@ichbinjules@ElDust76 @awesomebrandi I also have a dx for ADHD and suspect ASD but I was diagnosed in my early 20s. Sadly I am still grieving the life I could've had. I feel unless you are diagnosed early as a child, grieving is a big part of the diagnosis. I wish you the best of luck through the process.
