Five years ago, in June 2021, I decided to start running every single day.

Five years later, that’s over 16,600 kilometres, as per my original Nike Run Club calculator.

For the last four years I’ve been up at 3:30, 4am every morning, and every single day is somewhat hard. Building This is it Studio has meant erratic schedules, difficult stretches, building a portfolio, moving across continents.

Running doesn’t feel like a balance against work. It’s what feeds into it. No decision to make, no negotiation with myself in the morning, I just go.

Consistency, routine, physical and mental fitness, it’s an unprecedented advantage when you’re building.
