One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
He did small roles and guest work for YEARS and didnt catch his big ones (This is Us, Story of OJ) til he was FORTY in 2016. And TEN years after that he’s at what people would say is the peak of his career. At FIFTY.

A lot of people don’t know the difference between esthetics, aesthetics and aesthetic. I hope this helps .
•If you’re talking about facials, skincare, or beauty school, use esthetics.
Example: “I’m booking a facial today because I love taking care of my skin…..esthetics really matters.”
•If you’re talking about art, beauty theory, or design, use aesthetics.
Example: “I rearranged my room to match a cozy, modern aesthetics…..it just feels right.”
•If you’re talking about photography, lifestyle, or overall vibe, use aesthetic.
Example: “Her weekend brunch photos have such a chill aesthetic, I want to go there too.”
A Black R&B girl group with the same budget and backing as KATSEYE could really dominate.
Truth be told, June’s Diary WAS that group.
Where things hit a snag?
The first single. “L.A.N.C.E.” should have never left the studio. “It’s Alright” and “Wrap Around” were the hits.
An EP needed to drop as soon as ‘Chasing Destiny’ ended.
Epic really let them collect dust and let their best material sit on YouTube.
Also, a BUDGET. You need a bag to fund a group this large. I think a lot of folks forget they weren’t signed to Kelly Rowland but Epic Records who at the time were in the middle of a shuffle [LA Reid abruptly left, which means everything came to a halt, even denting Keyshia Cole’s rollout at the time]
They were also signed to the same label as Fifth Harmony……the label’s signature girl group at the time.
Frank Gatson, nor Kelly Rowland or the ladies themselves have the resources/machine to launch a five piece R&B girl group.
They need a budget to be able to recoup and take home a check. You can’t lay a foundation with bubblegum & sunflower seeds.

Girl to girl, you’re going to meet women who intimidate you. The ones who seem effortlessly cooler, smarter, prettier, more put together. You’ll find yourself comparing, wondering what it would feel like to have what they have or live the life they live. But don’t mistake their glow as proof that you don’t have one. Someone else’s shine does not dim yours. Choose to admire without shrinking. Fall in love with who you are becoming. Trust that your path, your timing, and your life will come together in a way that makes sense for you.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Damilola Balogun on the 1st of January 2026 😢
Damilola was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and the main applicant for her family on skilled worker visa.
Just five months ago, she welcomed her beautiful baby into the world. What should have been a time of joy soon turned into a painful and tragic journey no family should endure.
It all started when Damilola began complaining of severe migraines. She visited Walsall Manor Hospital, where she was treated and discharged. Three days later, she returned with the same symptoms, but no cause was found and she was sent home again. Two weeks later, the headaches persisted, and this time she was admitted. Doctors administered antibiotics and carried out an MRI scan and a lumbar puncture.
The results revealed water on her brain, and Damilola was urgently referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, for surgery. The surgery was initially successful, and there was hope.
Tragically, three days later, Damilola went into a coma and was placed on life support. Despite all medical efforts and prayers, it was confirmed that she could not recover. On the morning of 1st January 2026, the life support machine was switched off.
While others were welcoming the first day of a new year in celebration, this family was plunged into unbearable grief.
Damilola leaves behind three children aged 11 years, 10 years, and a 5month old baby, her husband, her mother and grandmother.
Since this ordeal began, her husband has been unable to work, staying by her side throughout hospital admissions and recovery attempts. Their savings have been completely exhausted, and the family is now facing funeral costs and the immense responsibility of raising three children without their mother.
We are humbly asking for your support; no amount is too small. Your donation will help:
•Cover funeral and burial expenses
•Provide immediate support for her children
•Ease the financial burden on the grieving family
Please consider donating and sharing this page. Let us come together to show this family that they are not alone during their darkest moment.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. 🙏
