This is a great interview of #johnlennon with whispering Bob Harris that Auntie Beeb has shared for the day 40 years since Lennon was shot.

Thanks @grangeparkopera for this excellent experience. First rate cast. Fair to assume that an orchestration will follow, indeed it may well already exist for all I know. I particularly like the mixture of styles. They often don't work, but here they do.
Britain’s first new opera commission since lockdown.
A libretto by opera-giant Sir David Pountney and music by Alex Woolf, A Feast in the Time of Plague will be performed and filmed on the stage of the Theatre in the Woods in September 2020.

@OpenAirTheatre@JCSTheMusical only our third theatre in some form this year since March. But being the first BIG show, this performance of JCS was somehow more viscerally thrilling for the absence. The cast seemed equally excited. Absolutely fantastic!!
I'm not sure if Tim was present at every single ISIHAC recording, but it must have been pretty close. It is very sad to hear the news that we've lost him.
I was obsessed with ‘The Goodies’ as a child, the first comedy show I really loved. I queued up to get the Goodies’ autographs as a grown-up, and got to meet Tim Brooke-Taylor more recently at a party. I was in total awe, but he was so kind & generous. It is so sad he is gone.

This plea for help is en route to all MPs in Yorkshire. I would be grateful to you, too, if you could ask your own MP - regardless of where you live in the UK - to consider helping to get this message to @BorisJohnson and @10DowningStreet - 🙏
Yours in hope.

Some Blitz spirit. In the 40's it was the Windmill, today it's Ronnies! @officialronnies https://t.co/IwBaeGVOg3
This was a sold out show. They're playing anyway!

#hansard@NationalTheatre Brilliantly written. The razor sharp dialogue is so quickfire I only remember a couple of corkers. Lindsay Duncan and Alex Jennings give an acting masterclass too.
#Hansard. A witty and devastating portrait of the governing class. Starring Lindsay Duncan and Alex Jennings. Broadcast live on 7 November. https://t.co/3qf6s0rvLe

Edinburgh was a truly joyous show tonight. We've seen the wondrous Konrad Wiszniewski twice this week, but this show was in a different league. @edfringe
Noticed @MrRichardGadd show #babyreindeer was winner @edfringe against #UntilTheFlood@traversetheatre I would have found it impossible to judge between them. Both fantastic, and easily the most powerful shows out of some 25 or so we've seen this festival. Congrats!!
Caught @HellTweet John Adams's Harmonielehre with Simon Rattle and @londonsymphony After the first movement was an audible "Wow" from an audience member. And she was right - it was definitely WOW! The Rach 2 that followed was pedestrian by comparison, but beautiful nevertheless
#UntilTheFlood@traversetheatre@edfringe
fabulous acting from Dael Orlandersmith, and I felt I learnt something. Prompted me to quickly scan the audience, sadly I didn't a see a non-white face there. Not sure why that is. https://t.co/9anEEYicuQ
#360allstars 7 disparately but supremely talented guys all at the top of their game and with nothing to prove. And such warmth and humanity.
I come to @edfringe for drama and arts but this show is the most inspiring I've ever seen at the festival!! https://t.co/xnQz6zSzdO
