this is something that's been bugging me lately. English speakers are expected to know pronunciation rules of every single language in order to pronounce loanwords properly but nobody cares when other languages adapt words to follow their own linguistic rules

confession i dont get why we judge a language for how it pronounces a loanword bc im pretty sure there isnt a single language on earth that actually preserves the native pronunciation of all its loanwords. like its literally a completely natural linguistic process you guys its ok
