@JoeDonRooney You handled it exactly as you were to JDR. I have had bouts with anxiety and use the four corners routine. Find a square/rectangle object and slowly/deliberately move our eyes from corner to corner around...then back. Its an obv distraction technique but it works. Well done sir!
