prompt engineering is dying and most people haven't noticed yet
the entire field exists for one reason: we couldn't actually control what models did. so we taped together prompts that hopefully nudged the output in the right direction and called it engineering. it was a simple workaround
these guys just shipped clarity. you suppress or amplify concepts in the output directly. no prompt change required
example:
> "write me a script about african wildlife." output is mostly mammals. amplify "marine sea life." now you have fish. no prompt rewrite.
> "make this more casual." useless instruction at the prompt layer. suppress "formal phrasing" at the concept layer instead. the model actually shifts.
what dies over the next 24 months as concept-level steering becomes standard:
> $5k prompt engineering courses.
> paid prompt vaults and libraries.
> prompt template saas.
> "advanced prompt engineer" as a job title that means something.
> the entire industry of agencies pitching "we'll write better prompts for your team."
