You have a special needs child and it alters EVERY aspect of your family life. Everything and everyone will make adjustments throughout their lives for that child.

The men are ALWAYS the first to shut down and even leave the woman with the kid. I have seen well over 50 cases. I have seen a bit of life in these not-so-few years on earth. I find it laughable that it is mostly men who are shouting against abortion from a moral high ground that they don’t understand.

I know of a neighbour then in Ikoyi, who yelled at his daughter who kept having crisis from Sickle Cell Disease saying “If you want to die, just die!”.
That’s sickle cell o, not to now talk of down syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc.
Approach these matters with humility o! Be careful!

Every believer must be unashamedly pro life and this stance must not end at the life or humanity of a baby in the womb from the point of conception. We need strong communities where the active responsibility of nurturing life is not left to one party as their “duty”.

The law and the cross of Christ is not dependent on the attitude and behaviours of other people, it holds true in everyday situations and cultures!

If you are living in an environment where everyone commits adultery, you will not be excused as a Christian as per the demand of Christ to equally commit adultery.

I know the Church has not always lived up to her mandate in the world, but even at that, the church system is still one of the biggest support systems for disability inclusion and aid.

This is the conversation we should be having; how that the normal Christian life is not all about speaking in tongues and living our best life, but that sometimes, it becomes with cross and burden.

What does the Bible say we should to with the burden of others?

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 ESV

We will not look at our society to obey the law of God; our collective moral failings do not negate the expectations and demands of the cross.

When people call out the false and convenient gospel you are constantly being exposed to, I hope you see the reason why you should not call them accuser of the Brethren. The gospel is not about our convenience or our comfort, it is about obeying God in whatever situations we find ourselves!
