@arithmoquine follow that uncertainty all the way down and just accept that all beliefs are just comforting delusions in your head with no actual reality attached. the only thing you can know is the present moment. believe all you want, but none of it is justified.
@fishpresskeys I think most group work is mostly about cutting costs, and its always best when possible to do deep soul work alone or one-on-one or maybe v small groups. can be good to expose ppl to revelations they might not get otherwise, but not truly the best way (and often harmful)
@ManaMoonMama the longing for understanding is a beautiful thing. it's a quixotic longing, but endearing. there is only the present moment. any pretense of understanding rests on something other than here, or now, and is therefore illusory. like rumi says, 'the longing itself holds the cure.'
transfixed
by the sticky clouds of thought
like bugs on the winshield
the wipers just make it worse
but you can always just
adjust your focus
and the view becomes clear
next to the stack of overdue bills
is a portrait of a pyromaniac
and a bottle of spoilt milk
not sure if i’ll deal with that
today or anytime soon
life is just too short
and the air and sunshine is free
so for now i just call it
a conversation piece
and the rats my friends
i learned you need friends
what i didn’t learn
is that you can’t really know anyone
and you aren’t really separate from anyone
and in solitude it’s easy for god to appear
welcome both your anger
and what provokes it
accept the old world
and make a new one
nothing needs to change
but everything will
the system is made of intention
what’s yours?
when you feel small
remember
you are the consciousness
from which
all the ancient cities sprang
all the great stories were dreamed
all the gods emerged
compression socks
suppress the swelling
this bruised body
is a beautiful vessel
a portal of old knowing
careworn earthen knowing
even when it’s
wrapped in neurotic amblings
this human thing is wild
so vast, so fragile
