Another thing I think we don’t talk about enough is the lack of trash cans on our streets and roads. Because if I don’t want to litter, where exactly am I supposed to put my trash?
I’m genuinely tired of carrying trash around in my bag just because I don’t want to litter.
This is why I will always be an advocate of intelligent people being outspoken and taking up spaces, because the more you say you don’t like the limelight, the more you keep giving room for the olodo uprisers to dominate. They have numbers.
I hope we’re also including the unnecessary hyper-sexualized content Nigerian creators keep making in the name of comedy in these Olodo Uprising/core conversations, because that needs to go too.
"Nigerian society is no longer celebrating academic excellence. It’s not even Yahøø culture anymore; now we have a 'Peller culture.' This 'Olodo' uprising we are witnessing is terrible. It feels like we are trying so hard to accommodate ignorance so people won’t feel bad, and now they seem to be the majority. The massive att@ck on Nigeria’s educational system is alarming, aside from kidn@ppings and Bøko Haram att@cks."
