Deeply saddened by the passing of Padma Shri Saalumarada Thimmakka, our beloved Mother of Trees, whose life embodied unconditional love for nature. She nurtured hundreds of trees with the affection of a mother, turning barren stretches into living forests. Her life was a shining example of how simplicity, compassion, and unwavering commitment can transform the world around us.

Whenever I visited Karnataka, Hon’ble Environment & Forest Minister Sri @eshwar_khandre ji and I often spoke about her extraordinary journey — her resilience, her devotion to environmental protection, and the inspiration she became for generations to come.

Thimmakka Amma proved that one person’s dedication can create a legacy far greater than monuments.
May her soul rest in peace. Her life and values will forever guide us in protecting and nurturing our forests.

But Karnataka govt was so drunk on power and desperate for media gaze to take credit that it held Victory parade within 12 hours

Victory parades are meant to be planned with proper civic arrangements, Police force and crowd management, not rushed for political mileage

Only power hungry Congress is responsible for the mishap happened in Bengaluru. Chief Minister should take moral responsibility and resign immediately

Found this priceless treasure of a pic today !
2006 , when Ambareesh presented a cheque of 2 lakhs at KSCA stadium to M S Dhoni who was the bright upcoming cricketer back then !
He had seen an interview where Dhoni's father had apparently said that now Dhoni was getting popular there were lots of visitors coming home , but they didn't have enough seats to offer them !! This moved Ambareesh totally who was a huge sports & cricket aficionado !
I thought we had lost this picture and was searching desperately for it for years !! Suddenly found it today ..brings back a precious memory !
